Every cat has its own unique purrsonality that you can truly experience in our free range environment. At Purrfect Day Café, our resident family of cats are free to roam around and be themselves. You’ll be able to see all the little quirks that make them so lovable, and better decide whether they’d be the right fit for your family.
Even if you’re not in a position to adopt, cuddling our kitties is the socialization they need to help make them more adoptable in the future! This concept is a “disruptor” approach to the adoption process we call “cuddles, not cages”.
When you adopt from Purrfect Day Cafe you are adopting through the Kentucky Humane Society.
Reservations are highly recommended when looking to meet your potential furrever friend.

Every year Purrfect Day puts on our Kitten shower and the Stray Cat Strut where 100% of our profit goes to support our shelter partners.
If you adopted a kitty at the cafe and have follow up questions on health, care, medical records, or behavior issues, please contact the Kentucky Humane Society.
Purrfect Day Cafe is a foster and adoption center and utilizes the expertise of KHS to assist all adopters with post-adoption resources in the best way possible. For a list of kitties at the cafe, please click here.
We cannot reserve kitties over the phone or social media.
THE ADOPTION PROCESS
If you’re in the market for a new furry family member, it all starts with a visit to our cat room! Each potential adopter must spend at least 30 minutes with the cat they plan to adopt. This is the best way to ensure you’ve found the right fit! We cannot reserve kitties over social media.
Take the first step towards bringing home a new furry friend from KHS by completing an adoption interest form at kyhumane.org/adoption-interest-form. After you complete this online form, you’ll be ready to come meet our adoptable kittens and cats.
Completing this form DOES NOT put a specific cat on hold or guarantee adoption. Forms are valid for 6 months and apply to one animal adoption.
Once you have found your Purrfect match, and your “Adoption Interest Form” has been approved through the Kentucky Humane Society, one of our adoption counselors will start the process of transitioning your new furrever friend to their new furrever home!
When you adopt at the Purrfect Day Cafe, you are adopting from the Kentucky Humane Society. All kitties are fully up to date on their vaccines, they have been spayed or neutered, and microchipped. Each kitty comes with sample food, 30 days of free pet insurance and an adoption folder that explains the many resources and discounts KHS provides with each adoption.
How soon you can take your kitty home depends on the adoption approval process and how many kitties are currently at the cafe. If you need a little extra time to decide we can provide a 24-hour hold with a donation of $25.00 that goes directly to the Kentucky Humane Society.
